Our Plague Friends

This is part of a group project I completed with my friends from university.

We wanted to work together on a project which showed our comforts and routines which got us through each day during lockdowns and restrictions, as well as highlighting our connections created via our video calls and online interactions. Having started University during the Covid pandemic, I wasn't attending lectures in person when they were available due to my anxiety, and later none of us could attend lectures on-campus at all. in order to achieve this, we decided to each do a "day in the life" style collection of images as well as producing self-portraits we could display together to connect the days, each person's pieces created in their own chosen style.

It seemed like a golden opportunity to show what life is like in lockdown, and our situation of making friends at University while having seen and talked online more than we've ever seen each other in person. We wanted to highlight the good we got out of this time, and how real our bond is despite it not being typical.
